Get GeniusTV on your device

Pick your platform below. Every path takes about two minutes, and the app starts with a free trial, no account needed.

Platform 1

Android phone & tablet

    Download the APK

    Use the button below. The file geniustv-latest.apk lands in your Downloads.

  2. 02

    Open the downloaded file

    Tap it in your notifications or in the Downloads folder.

  3. 03

    Allow the install

    Android asks once to allow installs from your browser. Confirm it, and the installer comes right back.

  4. 04

    If Play Protect warns you

    Tap “More details”, then “Install anyway”. This warning appears for any app installed outside Google Play.

Download APK

Downloading on a computer? Move the APK to your Android device (USB or cloud) and open it there.

Platform 2

Fire TV Stick / Fire TV

The Downloader code works on every stick, including older ones where the browser gets stuck at “Connecting”. Watch the 40-second walkthrough:

    Install the Downloader app

    Search “Downloader” (by AFTVnews, orange icon) in the Amazon Appstore on your Fire TV and install it.

  2. 02

    Allow installs for Downloader

    Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → Install unknown apps → turn Downloader on. (If Developer Options is hidden: Settings → My Fire TV → About → click the device name seven times.)

  3. 03

    Enter the code

    Open Downloader and type this code. The download starts immediately:

    Install and open

    When the download finishes, choose Install, then Open. You can delete the APK file afterwards.

Platform 3

Android TV / Google TV box

  1. 01

    Install the Downloader app

    Get “Downloader by AFTVnews” from Google Play on your TV or box.

  2. 02

    Allow installs for Downloader

    Settings → Apps → Security & restrictions (or “Special app access”) → Install unknown apps → allow Downloader.

  3. 03

    Enter the code

    Open Downloader and type the same code:
    3042963

  4. 04

    Install and open

    Confirm the install and open GeniusTV. Alternatively, newer devices can open geniustv.app/apk in the TV browser instead of using the code.

First start

After installing

Open GeniusTV: your device registers automatically and a free trial starts. On the first screen, load the built-in demo playlist (free-to-air channels) or add your own M3U playlist right away. You can manage playlists any time on the Manage Playlists page.
